For those who choose their luxury hotels based on getting out of the thick of things and to retreat somewhere to relax, enjoy good food and drink and take in some incredible scenery, the family-run Hotel San Pietro di Positano is the perfect place.
Built into the cliff edge to blend with the idyllic surroundings, the hotel has been a labour of love for the Cinque family who has been adding rooms to the hotel for generations.
The hotel is intricately designed into nuances of the cliff, the myriad of corridors hiding elegant bedrooms with panoramic sea views that stretch to the Faraglioni Rocks of Capri (even from the whirlpool bathtubs), an infinity pool, amazing flowers that meander their way down to the private beach and tennis courts down below. If, however, that walk may be scenic but too far, there is a lift to transports guests down in mere seconds.

The Wellness Centre at the Relais & Chateaux hotel uses natural products for some of the most exclusive treatments in the world - we love the Caviar Firming Treatment which leaves the face dazzlingly smooth and clear. As is expected from a luxury hotel, treatments use La Prairie products and Swiss Cellular Skincare for massages tailored to specific needs. Book in for pure, unadulterated pampering.
