Adventures Without a Passport
You don't need to be a full-fledged jet-setter to be privy to life’s most adventurous experiences. Exciting activities are around every corner—in your vicinity and across the country. All you need to do is look for them, carve a little time out from your daily routine to embark on one, and take a chance. Try any of these 10 activities, all of which prove that the stamps in your passport aren’t always indicative of how adventurous you are. —Mari Tzikas
Go Kayaking!
There's something exhilarating about taking to the water with a paddle and exploring off land. While one of our favorite kayaking destinations is the all-levels-welcome mangrove-lined winding creeks in Key West, Fla., almost any stretch of picturesque water will do. Should your itinerary keep you from heading south, look into local resources. Chances are there’s a good spot nearby where you can take a guided tour, rent a kayak, or both.
